Sherry is pictured here with Tim and Mike, the other farm owners, and her son, Kerry. The Hennessys' have been working together professionally since 1975. Sherry Hennessy has been involved in the Aquarium Industry for over 35 years. SCUBA certified in 1965, she net collected marine reef specimens, and trapped wild freshwater prawns in south Florida swamps, selling her catch to local pet shops to help pay her way through college. After earning her degree in Conservation Biology from Florida Atlantic University, Sherry started a shrimp farming business with her husband, Tim, and brother-in-law, Mike. That business evolved into EkkWill Waterlife Resources. Sherry was honored as the 1993 Florida Small Business person of the Year by the U. S. Small Business Administration and as a guest of President Clinton at the White House. Sherry focuses on quality control and marketing. She ensures that all livestock receives her meticulous attention to quality. "I always remember that each and every fish that leaves EkkWill is going to be somebody’s pet, in their home, and needs to be perfect".
